So you know our ugly bus….the one that took us across the country several times, I have sad news, he has been replaced by a truck that burns natural gas. I say he, because we named him Dennis. Dennis because that is jacob’s Dads name, and Dennis is reliable just like Jacobs Dad.
It’s been a long road Dennis, I will miss your rattlings and your moldy mattress. You were there when we all contracted horrible diseases during our first tour in the winter. You were there when we left Aaron in the walmart in phoenix at 4:30 am. You were there when, got ripped off by that promoter in Tulsa that we made fun of for the next month, who we still have the number for and are still planning the worlds best prank call for, we haven’t forgotten you!! You were there when we drove you from new York to Austin for 30 hrs straight and Stuart started hallucinating because of sleep depravation and then thought it would be a good Idea to take tylenol pm during the day but found that it made it difficult to communicate, and even more difficult to use the bathroom at gas stations. You were there when jacob let his mustache grow and then his sister told him he had to shave it to be around his nieces and nephew. You were there when Brandon sat on a peach pie dessert and then ate it anyway which prompted the name desert sitterman. You were there when Robbie grew his beard long and played the guitar for nearly two months straight from the comfort of your blue fold down seats. Dennis, we will miss you, we will not miss your gas mileage, but we will miss what you stand for. Freedom, Ford, Danger and America.
Dennis, we salute you.
